The Blood
Drive program is dedicated to educating and promoting the importance
of healthy community service. Blood drives are coordinated at the
district level for our students 17 years and older and our staff,
both in school and non-school site work locations. Miami-Dade county
Public Schools contracts with the following two companies: Community
Blood Centers of South Florida (CBCSF) which serve Access Centers
I, II, III, IV and South Florida Blood Banks (SFBB) which serves Access
Centers V and VI. In total we have donated 16,273 pints of blood and
have assisted in saving over 45,000 lives this year alone. Thanks
to all of you who stepped in and gave of yourselves in order to save
lives. Our blood drive program continues to be #1 in the state of
Florida.
