Follow these FIVE Easy Steps:

Step 1: Identify your organization’s resources and/or area of expertise that may be shared.

• Providing employee volunteers as mentors or guest speakers
• Serving on a school's Performance Excellence Council
• Donating computer equipment or software
• Serving as tutors or donating funds for academic tutorials

There are three types of partnerships that can be formed between your organization and Miami-Dade County Public Schools:

  1. Adopt-A-School - The organization “adopts” one school or a group of schools and plans activities that would benefit both entities.
  2. General Resources - The organization provides resources to the school system as a whole.
  3. Special Events or Departments - The organization provides resources or expertise in a specific area for a special project or particular department within the school system.

Step 2: Call 305-995-1215 for identification of a school site and their Dade Partners Liaison.

Step 3: Schedule a meeting with the school’s Dade Partners Liaison to discuss the partnership ideas.

Step 4: Complete a Dade Partners proposal with the school's liaison that officially registers you as a Dade Partner.

Step 5: Choose an individual in your organization to coordinate the partnership activities.
