At the recent LNR Property Corporation annual corporate report meeting that was held at the Loew’s Hotel, Shelley Rubin presented Olga Figueras, Principal of Fienberg Fisher Elementary, with a beautiful quilt of the United States (see attached picture) that the students and LNR associates made during the LNR’s “Holiday give back to the community volunteer event.

     

The quilt’s individual pieces were sewn together by members of the Oceanwave National Quilting Association, a non-profit organization. Additionally, on December 12, 2003 another group of LNR volunteers worked with students on painting a map of the U.S.A. in one of the school’s courtyards. Both Fienberg Fisher and LNR wanted to create an educational and valuable project that will be kept as a permanent memory of this partnership event.
