Aventura Marketing Council
Inducted 2004The Aventura Marketing Council (AMC) has a unique partnership that is fully dedicated to serving the needs of its seven Partner Schools: Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High, Highland Oaks Middle School, North Miami Beach Senior High, Virginia A. Boone Highland Oaks Elementary, Ojus Elementary, Madie Ives Elementary and Greynolds Park Elementary. This partnership works together to provide support and programs to impact student achievement at all levels and to provide awareness and incentives for our at-risk students. AMC Education Committee is a very active committee, whose major objective is to support school-to-career initiatives of Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Each year they help place more than 200 students in “job shadowing” experiences, coordinate internships with AMC members, assist in finding employment for our high school students and provide a variety of community service opportunities for all our elementary to senior high students. The Aventura Marketing Council has served our schools with fervor for the past 12 years! They have provided over $225,000 monetary and in-kind contributions to its seven Dade Partners Schools within this last year and this month alone through one of the AMC’s members, Fresh Market, raised over $10,000 in just one activity.
