Cedars Medical Center/Medical Partners
Inducted 1993Cedars Medical Center staff and Medical Partners, their physicians’ spouses volunteer organization, have been frequent visitors at Miami Edison Senior High School. Annually, students are invited to attend a career fair at the hospital where they are provided with a career guide entitled “Health Careers at Cedars” and the opportunity to discuss career aspirations with hospital personnel. Through the Cedars Job Bank, students are given information regarding current job openings and are encouraged to apply. Each summer, Cedars provides employment to many high school students and has hired several Edison graduates over the years. The Volunteer Services Department also works closely with many of the high school clubs and organizations through a program called Cedarshare which provides students a venue for community service with patients.
