The City of Hialeah provides support and assistance to
all of the schools in the Hialeah Senior High School Feeder
Pattern. Some of their activities include: serving on school
advisory committees, providing resource officers and crossings
guards, and assisting with beautification of the school
campuses. In addition to providing numerous schools with
student incentives for educational excellence, the City
also recognizes a “Student of the Month” at
each school. Schools are welcome to use the City’s
facilities for meetings or workshops. In the spirit of school-to-work,
the City provides students with job shadowing opportunities
in government, and recently became involved in the KAPOW
(Kids and the Power of Work) program with South Hialeah
Elementary Community School. Each month city employees visit
fourth grade classrooms to deliver lessons on the world
of work.
