The Biltmore Hotel & Conference Center of the Americas
Students at Sunset Elementary School have the opportunity to
showcase their artwork to people around the world through the
Biltmore’s annual holiday card contest. Drawings of the
hotel incorporating holiday elements are printed and shared
with thousands of guests and business partners. The five winners
are honored at a reception at the hotel, and receive a weekend
stay and Sunday brunch with their families. Additionally, the
Biltmore participates in the Kids and the Power of Work (KAPOW)
program which introduces students to the hospitality industry
through lessons delivered in the classroom by employees. Students
also have an opportunity during their site visit to see what
it’s like behind the scenes at this historic landmark.
As a partner with Region V, the Hotel supports PTA efforts with
various donations and acknowledges the schools who make the
Florida’s A+ honor roll with a recognition ceremony. Whether
it’s encouraging reading at South Miami Elementary or
helping students in social sciences, the Biltmore has opened
their doors to Miami-Dade County’s schools, employees
and students.
