MDCF&E and M-DCPS are responsible for selecting the recipients. The determinations are made using the applicants’ abilities to demonstrate dedication to scholarship, their participation and excellence in school and community activities, 2 letters of recommendations, and the students’ personal statements defining goals and exhibiting energy and dedication to a plan. Awards are made without regard to race, creed, color, sex, religion, or national origin. Financial need is not a factor.
The Miami-Dade County Fair and Exposition Scholarship Program awards non-renewable $2,000 scholarships annually.
